High access engineers

Although industrial chimneys form the greater part of our core business, we also carry out contracts on other types of tall structures:

  • Multi-storey buildings
  • Masts and antennae
  • Sports stadiums
  • Wind turbines
  • Bridges
  • Churches and Cathedrals

Where low profile, unobtrusive solutions to items of maintenance on high level structures are required our high-access engineers are fully trained in accordance with BS 7985:2009. The rope access techniques employed by our engineers provide a low cost alternative to other access systems. Furthermore, it dramatically reduces the number of man-hours working at height. Whether it is isolated areas of painting, removal of vegetation growth or masonry repairs, our multi-disciplined engineers have the skills to effect the repairs quickly and efficiently.

Inspections - reporting with visual evidence

Defects at high level can often be overlooked because of their location. Regular inspections of high structures will often reduce long-term maintenance issues by identifying and arresting defects that, if left unattended, would develop into costly major refurbishment. Our high-level engineers carry out full photographic and written reports on the condition of the tall structures, identifying any defects no matter how minor.

A client recently required the installation of spot light fittings in the apex of an atrium within a shopping centre. Our rope access techniques provided the optimum solution minimizing disruption to both public and our client.
